The World We Make is an interesting exploration of young love set against the backdrop of societal tension. You've got Lee, this dynamic equestrian who's full of spirit, paired with Jordan, the smart football player. Their chemistry is palpable, and the atmosphere feels very authentic to a small town vibe. But the film takes a turn as racial issues emerge, challenging their relationship and forcing them to confront biases that linger even in supposedly open-minded spaces. The pacing is a bit slow at times, which lets the emotional weight build up, but it really does a solid job of highlighting themes of love, race, and resilience. The performances feel genuine, pulling you into their struggles and triumphs. Definitely a thought-provoking watch.
