But the film takes a turn as racial issues emerge, challenging their relationship and forcing them to confront biases that linger even in supposedly open-minded spaces. The pacing is a bit slow at times, which lets the emotional weight build up, but it really does a solid job of highlighting themes of love, race, and resilience. The performances feel genuine, pulling you into their struggles and triumphs. Definitely a thought-provoking watch.
