Thomson Villa is an interesting exploration of class and ambition set against the backdrop of Kochi's changing socio-economic landscape. You’ve got Sheelu, who starts off as the privileged daughter of a business tycoon, but her world is turned upside down when financial troubles hit. The atmosphere is heavy with a sense of loss but also resilience; the pacing feels almost reflective, allowing you to digest Sheelu's transformation as she steps into the role of a music teacher for Thomson. The performances are pretty grounded, especially the chemistry between the leads, which feels genuine. What stands out is how the film handles the themes of family pressure and self-discovery without resorting to melodrama, making it a quietly compelling watch.
