Three Letters: Oblation is a curious entry in the horror genre. The premise is pretty wild—Salih, after an unfortunate hunting accident, navigates the bizarre aftermath with the help of his mother, who employs some strange methods rooted in the supernatural. The atmosphere really stands out; it’s eerie yet oddly intimate, and you feel that tension throughout. The pacing is a bit unconventional, sometimes lingering on moments that just heighten the discomfort. The practical effects are refreshing and add a raw quality to the film. Also, the performances, especially that of the mother, strike a nice balance between warmth and something darker lurking underneath. Overall, it's not your typical horror flick, and that makes it memorable.
