Tomb-Stoned is an interesting mix of action, comedy, and a bit of drama. The film leans heavily into the laid-back vibe of its stoner protagonists, Owen and Norm, who find themselves hilariously out of their depth when faced with a zombie apocalypse, all while being completely baked. The pacing is a bit erratic but it fits the tone; you feel that disorientation they experience. The practical effects on the zombies are surprisingly effective—they don’t go overboard with CGI. The dynamic between the two leads shines through, and their friendship is both tested and highlighted amidst the chaos. It’s a unique blend that has this absurdity wrapped in a genuine heart, which sets it apart from the typical zombie fare.
