Top Banana Club is a quirky little comedy from '96 that dives into some absurd scenarios. The first tale features a yob who's hustling pirated CDs and has a bizarre run-in with a police girl—there's a certain chaotic energy there, you know? Then you've got Mr. Shaw, a character fixated on bust size which leads to some pretty ridiculous situations involving his wife and the whole plastic surgery business. Finally, there's Wong, the conceited playboy whose overconfidence gets him tangled up with a lesbian. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but that just adds to its charm. Practical effects are minimal, but the performances, especially in the comedic beats, have a certain rough-around-the-edges honesty that fits the tone. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely got a unique vibe.
