Transylmania is a strange little gem from 2009 that tries to mix college antics with classic horror tropes. The humor is pretty broad, leaning heavily on the slapstick side, and it doesn’t take itself seriously at all. You’ve got these American students who find themselves in Romania, facing off against vampires, but honestly, it’s all about the absurd situations they get into. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but that’s part of its charm. The practical effects are surprisingly decent for a low-budget comedy, and some of the performances are genuinely amusing. It’s not going to win any awards, but if you’re into horror spoofs, it has its moments that can tickle a collector’s fancy.
