So, 'Treasure of The Ninja II: Rise of the Ultra Ninja' is an interesting follow-up to the 1987 original. It brings back the gritty, over-the-top action we expect; Magneta Faze is just out of prison, which sets a nice tone of redemption mixed with chaos. The pacing feels a bit uneven, but that adds to its charm, I think. The practical effects are a highlight, reminiscent of the classic era but with a modern twist. You get some decent fight choreography, and the setting in Ukraine gives it a unique backdrop. Performances are solid, with a certain rawness that makes it feel like a labor of love. It doesn’t quite hit all the marks, but it has its own peculiar vibe that fans of the genre will appreciate.
