Trepidity is an interesting find in the horror genre, with its unsettling atmosphere that really captures that sense of dread. The pacing is quite effective, building tension as the night progresses. Practical effects are used here, which gives it a gritty, raw feel that’s refreshing in today’s CGI-heavy scene. The performances from the five leads feel genuine, and you can feel their panic escalate. There's a certain charm to the way it plays with classic horror tropes, while still trying to carve out its own space in the genre. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill slasher flick.
