Trigger Fingers is a neat little Western with a mix of offbeat humor and classic tropes. The plot kicks off with Pinto Peters, a blacksmith, enlisting the help of his buddy Sam 'Hurricane' Benton to clear his son's name. The pacing has this nice, laid-back feel, but it ramps up when young Jimmy’s hot temper gets him into trouble. The themes of misguided justice and redemption play out against some surprisingly sharp dialogue and decent performances. It’s interesting how they handle the card cheat angle—kind of a twist on the usual shootouts. The practical effects aren’t groundbreaking, but they serve the story well. Definitely a film that captures that post-war Western vibe with a hint of irony.
