Under the Stars has this raw, unvarnished feel, really captures the struggle of family ties. Benito, this flawed character, comes back home and you see how that place, Navarre, almost breathes with nostalgia and tension. The pacing can be slow at times, but I think it fits the emotional weight of reconnecting. The relationship between him and Lalo feels so real; Lalo's need for his brother is palpable. And Ainara, she brings this innocent light amidst the heaviness—it’s a nice contrast. I’d say the performances really stand out, especially the dynamics between the characters. It’s a film that lingers with you, makes you think about family and choices, in a beautifully understated way.
Explores complex family dynamics.Strong character development.Atmospheric setting in Navarre.
