Unseen Skies is a fascinating dive into Trevor Paglen's world, blending art with pressing contemporary issues. The film’s tone is contemplative, almost haunting, as it paints the vast, eerie landscapes of the Nevada desert. You really get a sense of isolation which complements Paglen’s explorations of surveillance and technology. The pacing, at times meditative, allows you to absorb his thoughts on data collection and AI—sort of like wandering through an art gallery where the pieces speak to you. The visuals are striking; Paglen’s work is eclectic and layered, and it's cool to see how he creates art from these heavy themes. It’s a thought-provoking experience, definitely one that lingers on your mind long after the credits roll.
