Uskallan is quite an odd piece, really. It’s this short animation that leans heavily into the experimental side of storytelling. The visuals strike a balance between abstract and haunting, creating an atmosphere that feels almost dreamlike. It's not easy to pin down its pacing – it feels both deliberate and erratic at times, which can be jarring but also engaging if you’re in the right mood. The themes it explores are somewhat elusive but evoke a sense of introspection and sometimes unease. As for performances, well, it’s all in the animation and sound design here, which do a lot of heavy lifting. Definitely a film that invites multiple viewings, as each time you might catch something new.
