Vantage Point is an interesting experiment in storytelling. The film takes place during a tense counter-terrorism summit in Spain, and it really leans into the concept of perspective. Each of the eight characters offers their own take on the events leading up to the assassination attempt on the president. The pacing can feel a bit frantic, but it captures that chaotic atmosphere of a major event gone awry. What stands out is the use of practical effects during the action sequences — they have a rawness that CGI often lacks. The performances feel genuine, especially from Dennis Quaid and Forest Whitaker, who add depth to their roles amidst all the twists. It's a film that sparks discussions about truth and perception.
