So, Vile is quite a piece. Directed by Moises Pareja Rangel, it dives into some heavy emotional territory, really. Youâve got Abel, this tortured soul dealing with his past as an executionerâguilt weighing on him like a lead blanket. When Ăngela shows up, looking for her own kind of revenge, the tension thickens. Itâs a slow burn, but it pays off. The pacing gives you time to sit with their pain, which is refreshing in a way. Performances are raw and groundedânothing feels overacted. The atmosphere, itâs almost oppressive, and the cinematography captures that starkness beautifully. Not a lot of flashy effects here, but the emotional weight? Thatâs where the film really gets you.
