So, Voicemail is an interesting piece, really. The film dives deep into grief and how it can twist and turn your perception of reality. Jake is this guy in a real downward spiral, trying to cling to memories through voicemails from his friend Matty, who, you know, has supposedly moved away. The pacing might feel slow for some, but I think it adds to that heavy atmosphere, dragging you through Jake's loneliness. The performances are solid, especially from the lead—there's a rawness that feels authentic. It’s not flashy, no CGI or gimmicks, just real emotions and a lot of heavy conversations. It's kind of distinctive in its simplicity; it really forces you to sit with the character's pain.
