So, 'Vorbei Rauschen' is quite the piece. Set against the backdrop of a seemingly ordinary family gathering, it dives deep into tension and unresolved emotions. Frida, the main character, is layered and complex – you can feel her reluctance as she walks into her sister's birthday party. The reveal of her abortion is handled with such rawness that it feels almost intrusive, which I think is the point. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the weight of each conversation to really sink in. There’s a real emphasis on practical effects in the way the characters' emotions play out visually – no flashy gimmicks, just genuine performances that make every revelation hit hard. It’s a film that stays with you, for sure.
