Walk a Crooked Path has this unsettling vibe, doesn’t it? The setting of a posh boys' school is a sharp contrast to the grimy plotting of the characters. John Brason directs with a steady hand, managing to keep that tension simmering just below the surface. The main character's descent into moral ambiguity is compelling, and the young actor they chose to play the student is both naive and chilling. It’s interesting how they tackle themes of manipulation and betrayal while also commenting on authority. The film doesn't rely on flashy effects; instead, it’s the performances and the atmospheric music that really pull you in. Definitely one of those flicks that lingers with you long after it's over.
