So, 'Walrus' is an interesting blend of sci-fi and sports drama, something you don't see every day. The film revolves around Wallace, who’s this underground arm wrestling champ. His life gets turned upside down when his focus shifts from his sport to his mail order bride, Olga. The performances are pretty gritty, with Kameron Primm really embodying the desperation and drive of his character. The pacing has its lulls, but it builds tension effectively. There’s an off-kilter atmosphere throughout, enhanced by some unique practical effects that, honestly, add to its charm. It’s definitely a peculiar watch, not quite fitting into the typical mold of either genre, which makes it distinctive in its own right.
