Waterfall (2015) is a haunting exploration of guilt and childhood trauma. It captures this heavy emotional weight with a minimalist approach, using sparse dialogue and lingering shots that let the atmosphere breathe. The pacing is deliberately slow, almost meditative, which allows the viewer to really sit with the protagonist's pain. The performances are raw, particularly the young girl, who conveys so much through her silence. There's a certain starkness to the visuals that complements the themes of loss and regret. Practical effects are used sparingly but effectively, enhancing the film's sense of reality without overshadowing the emotional core. Definitely a unique piece that sticks with you long after the credits roll.
