We All Scream feels like a nostalgic nod to those suburban horror tales but with a twisted ice cream truck spin. The pacing is deliberate, building tension and a sense of dread around this boy who's craving sweetness but gets something far darker. The performances are solid, especially from the kid, who brings a genuine vulnerability to his character. Mr. Sweetie, the Ice Cream Man, has this unsettling charm that lingers. There are some nice practical effects that remind you of those classic horror flicks, and the atmosphere is thick, almost sticky, like melted ice cream on a hot summer day. It’s that blend of innocence and horror that makes this one stick in your mind.
Chilling atmosphere throughout.Interesting take on childhood fears.Features practical effects that enhance horror.
