What About Your Friends: Weekend Get-Away has this unique vibe, typical of early 2000s UPN dramas. The pacing feels a bit slow in parts, but it gives you time to really sit with the characters—Temple, Alex, and Breena. You can sense the tight bond they share, which is refreshing. Keshia Knight-Pulliam really stands out as Temple; her aspirations as a singer add depth to her character's journey. The themes of friendship and ambition come through, but it's not all smooth sailing. There’s this rawness in their interactions that feels real, not scripted. I think that’s what makes this film distinctive, capturing that transitional period of youth and the complexities of growing up. Definitely a time capsule piece.
