Whole Lotta Sole is this quirky blend of comedy and drama that captures a unique tone, really. You’ve got Jimbo, a guy in over his head, trying to do right by his family while making a series of bad calls. The pacing has a nice rhythm, bouncing between tense moments and absurd humor. The performances are colorful—especially from the hostages, who bring a lot of life to the curio shop setting. It’s filled with those oddball characters that make you chuckle while also feeling for them. The practical effects, nothing flashy but they fit the vibe perfectly. There's something distinctly charming about its take on desperation and community, which sets it apart from similar flicks.
