So, this is the second part of the German remake of the classic Winnetou saga. It’s got that familiar Western atmosphere, but you can tell they’re trying for a fresh take. The pacing feels a bit off at times, but there's this tense drive as Winnetou and Old Shatterhand go after Nscho Tschi, who’s been nabbed by a pretty nasty villain, El Mas Loco. It leans heavily into themes of loyalty and bravery, which is standard, but there's an interesting twist with the search for that mythical Apache treasure. Practical effects are decent, nothing groundbreaking, but there's a certain nostalgic charm to it. Performances are solid, though some might find them a bit theatrical. Definitely a distinctive entry in the franchise, for better or worse.
