Wisdom of Lies is an intriguing little comedy from '92 that takes you on a whimsical journey with a prince who's searching high and low for genuine happiness. The tone is light yet tinged with a sense of melancholy, really making you feel for the character as he encounters all sorts of eccentric folks, none of whom seem to grasp the concept of caring. Pacing is a bit uneven, but it adds to the charm, I suppose. The performances have a quirky, almost theatrical vibe, which is distinctive in its own right. The practical effects aren't groundbreaking, but they serve the narrative well. It’s an odd blend of humor and life lessons that sticks with you. Not your run-of-the-mill comedy for sure.
