Woods of Ash is an interesting piece, really. The atmosphere is thick with dread, the woods almost feel like a character themselves, suffocating yet oddly compelling. The pacing keeps you on edge, with moments of tension that draw you into the siblings' desperate quest—it's relentless. The practical effects are pretty impressive, which adds a rawness to the horror that CGI just can't replicate. You can feel the emotional weight of the siblings' journey, driven by their sister's last wish. Performances are solid, capturing both the fear and desperation of their situation. It doesn't shy away from exploring themes of sacrifice and familial bonds, which gives it an unusual depth for a thriller. Definitely not your standard fare, that's for sure.
