Worldbreaker is an interesting mix of genres that's hard to pin down. You’ve got the sci-fi horror angle with some real tension throughout, thanks to Brad Anderson's direction. The atmosphere is thick, almost claustrophobic at times, reflecting the father-daughter dynamic as they navigate a world gone mad. The practical effects used for the creatures are a highlight; they really feel tangible, unlike a lot of CGI-heavy films these days. The pacing might be a little uneven, but it builds a sense of dread that sticks with you. Performances, especially from the lead, are solid—gritty but heartfelt. It’s not your standard apocalypse flick, which is refreshing in the current landscape.
