So, Worms (2013) - it’s this quirky little animated adventure that dives into the life of Junior, a preteen worm with a lot on his plate. I mean, the whole overprotective mom angle adds a nice twist to the classic coming-of-age theme. The pacing is a bit uneven, which gives it this laid-back, almost nostalgic vibe, and you really feel the struggle of fitting in. I found the animation style charming, not too polished but definitely playful, fitting for a family audience. There’s an interesting mix of humor and heartfelt moments, especially when Junior finds himself on that unexpected journey above ground. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s distinctive enough for collectors who appreciate those lesser-known gems.
