Your Highness has this absurd tone, a mix of medieval fantasy with a heavy dose of stoner comedy. The pacing kind of lags in spots but it’s hard not to appreciate the sheer ridiculousness of it all. You’ve got James Franco as this lazy prince who’s pretty self-serving, and Danny McBride steals every scene with his over-the-top antics. The practical effects are a nice throwback, giving it that tangible feel which is refreshing. The blend of action and humor definitely gives it a unique flair, though you might roll your eyes at certain tropes. It’s entertaining in a way that doesn’t take itself seriously, which is kind of the point, I guess. A quirky addition to any collector's lineup for sure.
