Zaki Chan is a quirky comedy that really brings out the chaos of its titular character's life. Zaki's misadventures are often over-the-top but carry a certain charm. The pacing is a bit uneven, with some slower moments that contrast sharply with the frantic energy he brings to each scene. The themes of family and the absurdity of fitting into roles that don't quite match you really resonate, especially in the bodyguard subplot. There's a playful use of practical effects that manage to enhance some of the slapstick moments without feeling overly reliant on CGI. The performances, while not particularly polished, have a genuine feel to them, making it easy to root for Zaki as he stumbles through his challenges.
Quirky character-driven comedy.Interesting take on the bodyguard trope.Features a fair amount of slapstick humor.
