Zardoz is an interesting blend of action, fantasy, and sci-fi, directed by John Boorman. It's set in a dystopian future where Sean Connery, in a rather striking red diaper-like outfit, plays Zed, a brutal killer who stumbles into a society of immortal beings. The film's tone is a strange mix of surrealism and philosophical inquiry, examining themes of mortality, power, and control. The pacing can be a bit uneven at times, but it adds to the film's dreamlike atmosphere. The practical effects and set design are absolutely something else, giving it this quirky, avant-garde vibe. Connery's performance is quite different from his usual roles, making it a unique viewing experience.
