Zombie Massacre (2002) is an interesting blend of horror and comedy, though it definitely skews more towards the absurd. The film has this bizarre, off-kilter vibe—like it knows it's ridiculous and revels in it. The pacing can be a bit uneven, with some stretches that drag then suddenly pick up with a ridiculous zombie gag. Practical effects are a mixed bag; some are hilariously bad while others are surprisingly effective. The performances have a certain charm, with actors who seem to fully embrace the kookiness of their roles. It's not your typical zombie flick; there's a distinct sense of humor that makes it stand apart. Definitely a curiosity in the genre, for sure.
