Demekin is quite the curious piece from 2017. It dives into the raw essence of youth, bullying, and personal evolution. You’ve got Masaki Sata, an outsider with the infamous nickname tied to his appearance but with a fierce determination that makes you root for him. The action sequences are intense, yeah, but it’s the emotional core, the friendship with Atsunari, that gives it depth. The pacing feels natural, as you ride along with their misadventures and confrontations. The performances, especially from the leads, bring a gritty realism that resonates. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s part of what gives it charm. The vibrant visuals and the distinct character design really set it apart as well.
